Carol Carpenter


Carol Carpenter is an accomplished poet, writer, and photographer from rural Northwest Missouri. Carol earned a B.S. in English from Peru State College. Her work has appeared in Fine Lines, Your Country Neighbor, The Lincoln Underground, Fish Food, Plains Song Review, Nature Writing, and Missouri LifeShe has  self-published two chapbooks of poetry. In addition to her poetry, she takes time to write a blog titled Amusing Myself - Poetry and writing thoughts from a self-confessed poet.

Carol stays busy with home and family, too, and enjoys spending time out of doors walking, watching birds, and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Her first book, Earth Songs, was published as a paperback on April 5, 2015 and more recently in Kindle e-book format in August of 2017. The book is 40 pages in length and includes poetry and photographs related to nature and that "span the seasons."

Published in 2016, Carol's second book of poetry examines both "disintegration and connection within the human equation."
