Shari Barr

Author Shari Barr is Iowa-born and raised. From the days of only dreaming about being a writer to seeing that dream realized over and again, with several published books to her credit, she can take pride in her accomplishments. She is using her God-given talent for creating enjoyable and engaging books.

Shari's writing career kicked off with some articles, after completing training through the Institute of Children's literature. In 2005 she signed a contract with "Davey and Goliath's Devotions" to write their quarterly issue for fall of that year.

In 2008 she began publishing books with the David C. Cook Publishing Company, contributing to three titles.

Shari's love for the Nancy Drew stories as a young girl were good training for her authorship of four books in the Camp Club Girls 24-book mystery series published by Barbour Publishing.

Her first book, in 2010, was Mckenzie's Montana Mystery, a real treasure of intrigue, and just the thing for 8 to 12-year-old modern-day girl detectives out there.

McKenzie's Branson Brainteaser (Camp Club Girls Book 18) by [Barr, Shari]Shari's second contribution to the series in November of 2010 was  Mckenzie's Oregon Operation. The author kept McKenzie on the trail where the girl sleuth's curiosity took her further west. But, the west isn't the only place where mysteries happen as the author shows.

In February of 2011, McKenzie's sleuthing habits took her and the author to Branson, Missouri in McKenzie's Branson Brainteaser, where she and the other Camp Club Girls meet up at Camp Discovery. What a great thing to find so many new friends who share your passion for intrigue!
